Henry Box Brown - A Musical Journey
Musicals and Opera (historical)
Tony Award winner Ben Harney (Broadway's Dreamgirls), and writer Mehr Mansuri, lead this musical about an 1850s Virginia slave who ships himself to freedom in a box. In a fusion of original songs blending gospel, R'n'B and bluegrass, as well as a cappella spirituals, it is performed by New York's finest gospel singers and top Broadway artists. Viewed by over 20,000 people from New York to Los Angeles, it is a crowd-pleaser that shines a light on our capacity to transcend. 'Stirring…rousing songs’ (New York Times on Family Fare).
Garrett Millerick: Sunflower
Look, I think we can all agree that 2018 has been an absolute bloody nightmare. Join me in the basement of a pub where we can come together and collectively ignore the whole thing. I don’t care who you voted for or where you’re from, just grab a drink and lets have a laugh. I promise you’ll learn nothing, it’s just some jokes and stories. ‘A genuinely impressive stand-up, with real comic brain and brawn’ (Chortle.co.uk). ‘A truly great stand up but with enough shabby humanity that you don’t think he’s a prick’ (Fringepig.co.uk).
Jonathan Guy reimagines the critically acclaimed Our Boys for a new generation.
No Kids explores the personal journey that real-life couple Nir and George embarked upon when they asked the question: as a gay couple, should we go out of our way to have children? Gender-bending musical cabaret and verbatim theatre marry to conceive a distinctly queer piece that asks: should we be making more babies in an increasingly overpopulated world? And is our society truly open to the idea of two dads? 'The company’s use of movement, its performative rigour, and ability to conjure worlds is second to none' (Stage). ***** (Times on Light). **** (Guardian on Ballad).
Charlie Caper - Artifice Intelligence
Cabaret and Variety (magic, sci-fi)

His last show Minor Miracles, with Malin Nilsson, won the Adelaide Fringe Best Magic Award 2016. 'Goodness!" (Stephen Fry, tweet about Charlie's video).
Christian Finnegan: My Goodness
Christian Finnegan is a stand-up comedian, exploring what it means to be a passable human being in 2018. Perhaps best known as one of the original panelists on VH1's Best Week Ever and as Chad, the only white roommate in Chappelle's Show's infamous Mad Real World sketch. He played Martin on the popular syndicated sitcom Are We There Yet? and politics junkies will recognize Christian from his many appearances on Countdown with Keith Olbermann. Most recently, Christian was the creator and co-host of A&E's Black and White.
