Abi Clarke: (Role) Model

Comedy (solo show, stand-up)

Abi Clarke lived the modern-day dream. She posted a video online, went to bed a "nobody", then woke to thousands of followers. Four years later, this is the debut show they've been waiting for, though it may not be exactly what they want from her... As seen on BBC, ITV2, Comedy Central, Channel 4 and support to Phil Wang and Russell Kane. With 2M followers across platforms, she's taken the internet by storm, but now it's time to see what she does best, stand-up! 'Fresh, silly and very very funny' (Sara Pascoe). 'Hilarious and relatable' (Independent).

At Home With Will Shakespeare

DeliaDelia! The Flat-Chested Witch!

Comedy (clown, character comedy)

Amando Houser who is 'particularly funny' (Vulture) invites you to an unhinged and absurd clown hour of self discovery. Inspired by the "witch hunt" on trans rights in the United States. DeliaDelia is a witch from the swamps who happens to be as nasty on the eyes as she is on the basketball court. Cursed to find a husband by the stroke of midnight will she: find true love or be turned into a serpent with no genitalia? This debut solo show is directed by Kedian Keohan.

My Last Two Brain Cells

Comedy (absurdist, character comedy)

The award-winning, 7th highest rated comedy of the Edinburgh Fringe 2023 returns! When disaster strikes in Gary's brain, it's up to his brain cells to try and fix everything. Unfortunately, they've all jumped ship and we're stuck with these two idiots. Can brain cell numbers 12 and 64,928,460,784 put aside their differences to save Gary's life? Probably not. But hey, it's a wholesome, extremely chaotic and incredibly stupid comedy that'll leave you wanting to come back for more!

Mark Thomas: Gaffa Tapes

Comedy (political, stand-up)

If you don’t know what Mark does, ask your parents. In his time, he has won awards (total is officially ‘f*ckloads’), forced a politician to resign, changed laws on tax and protest, become the Guinness Book of Records world-record holder for number of protests in 24 hours, taken the police to court three times and won, walked the length of the Israeli Wall in the West Bank, and generally mucked about trying to have fun and f*ck the right people off.

Ketch Sketch

Japan's best silent comedian is back! And you're invited to his pet Max's birthday party... After 15 years at the Fringe with the award-winning duo Gamarjobat, Ketch returns with his explosive new solo comedy show. He needs your help to throw the best birthday party ever, jam-packed full of juggling, clowning, music, magic and mime. Don't miss this heartwarming and hilarious hour of slick, silent and silly slapstick for all ages.

Mervyn Stutter

Host and Compere

Mervyn has been in the entertainment industry since 1974. He started in theatre where he acted, wrote scripts, songs, and directed for around 14 years. In the 1980s, he became the 'regular topical song bloke' on the BBC TV's first ever daytime show, 'Open Air', fronted by a thin Irishman called Eamonn Holmes. Over the years he has performed weekly topical songs on many TV current affairs programmes and more of the same on radio. In the late 1980s, he took his comedy songs onto the Comedy Circuit and then touring theatres. Merv's first Edinburgh Fringe was in 1986 and he has been every year since. 'Pick of the Fringe' started life as 'Have you seen anything good?', a show to help answer the perennial Fringe-goer question. The title was changed to 'Pick of the Fringe' in 1994 and it he has built it up into one of the must-see Fringe shows.

“Mervyn Stutter is very, very good as compere of this chat show, for to make such a showcase work requires skill, talent and quick reactions. Stutter works the crowd like the showman he is.”
